Like the title says, when i try to fill up the nozzle just keeps clicking and only taking gas if i pump slowly. anyone know of any common or previous instances of this occurring? i found one thread that ended up kind of inconclusive, so any info would be great.
I'm thinking the vent line could be clogged and not letting out the air as the fuel enters. when i took off the gas cap it made a loud whooshing noise but I'm not sure if it was the air coming out or the vacuum inside the tank getting relieved. I'm cant seem to find any EVAP system diagrams or info either...

The whoosh sound is ok. Most cars do that. But yeah I agree that your vent is probably clogged. I'd look in the FSM

Yeah most definitely a clog or kink in the vent line. Not sure if there's a way to take off the filler pipe to clean it out?

On my TT if I had the gas pump nozzle all the way in, it would click off, try relaxing it and just putting in the tip
and ill be the first to say it... "Thats what she said" hahaha

Aren't you a technician by trade? Not that that means you know how to fix a gas pump, just thought that was kind of funny. Have you tried pulling the rubber boot back while filling. Most gas pumps wont pump unsless the switch in the rubber boot is closed, IE the nozzle is fully inserted. Even if their was an evap issue it wouldn't stop the gas pump from pumping, the tank just may over flow. You may not be going deep enough (ThatsWhatSheSaid) with the nozzle to close the switch and allow the pump to pump.

I doubt it's the pumps fault.... I'd still say the vent is clogged. And negative points to sky whine for the cheap shot. Boo :hater:
