Anyone seen a pdf copy of a series 1 Q45/Cima/President manual? Currently doing the wiring for my 450ZX and the loom I have and what is in the '94+ service manual appears to a bit different. Mainly after the wiring diagrams, not too concerned with the rest...

If it makes any difference I have a RHD Jap spec VH, unsure of donor car though.

The pinouts for the ECU appear to be mostly the same but the little plugs that live near the ECU are different. I have a big white one, a small white one, a big blue one but no brown one All the wires generally seem to be there though, just dispersed among the above plugs.

And another thing, I've noticed that most of the 'important' plugs have two cream coloured wires attached to the top clippy bit of the plug. These seem to loop together all the plugs. What are these for? I've played with quite a few other nissan's and never really noticed it before. Defiantely not on the Z anyway...

Again, big thanks to Nick and friends for his excellent writeup on the VH>Z32 guide. I will try and put together a RHD version as a few of the wires are a bit different.

I'm 99% sure the brown plug is only present on cars equipped with TCS. I have 4 90-93 harnesses that came off of non-TCS cars, none have brown plugs. My 94 TCS harness has a brown plug, and my 93 TCS harness also has a brown plug. Checking the wiring schematics, they seem to agree.

I was in the same boat as you, using the 94 wiring diagram to wire my 92 harness. The colors may be off, but the pin locations are the same.

There aren't many differences between the 2 but there are a couple. The cream wires that run throughout the plugs are useless. I believe them to be used for troubleshooting, IE: throwing a code for an unplugged connector. Don't worry about hooking them up to anything. Nick's shematic should be right on.

Well finished the wiring and hooked it all up on the engine crane. It works Won't idle due to no IAC and PCV pipework, but with a bit of throttle it goes.

Bit loud though

I'll post up the little discrepincies I found in Nick's wiring sheet. Only one...

Awesome! Congrats!

FYI, I was wrong about the brown plug thing, just pulled a 94 non-TCS harness and it still had a brown plug. Must be a year to year change, not an option specific change.

Ummm did I miss something or did nobody say where to find a pdf version of the fsm. I just wanna know where to find the fsm for the vh (95 Q45) I think I have a 95 harness and ecu but I don't know how to tell so I'm just going on what the guy told me and yes he's worthy of trusting.

If someone could help me locate the fsm for the vh (95 Q45) and/or help me identify which wiring harness and ecu I have I would greatly appreciate it.

And yes I do know where the search button is which is why I'm posting here and not creating a new thread.

I've got a hard copy i found in a junk yard i can scan in some pages for you if you want.. The main harness is a little bit different than the 94+. Some pins on the ecu are different and are/arent used.

Here you go. I had to do it in a two scans and put them together. You can tell if you look on the right side by where it says combination meter. I cut down the size a little bit to make it easier to edit (the files were large and a pain to deal with lol). But i could make it bigger if you need it bigger.

No problem guys. It sure helped me out alot doing mine.

Like i said i have the ENTIRE fsm in hardcopy if anyone wants some more scanned in. I might have a couple pages missing as it's in pretty rough shape.. but for the most part it's practically all there. I know the ignitors are different on the older ones also. So trouble shooting them isn't the same as the 94+ ones.
