how much more trouble will it be if instead of getting a 91 240 and swaping my sr20 i have into it, getting a 90 240 and doing the swap on that one? i can get a 1990 240 right now for 1000k in pretty goo condition.... what should i do? the only thing i dont like about the 90 is the front bumper that pig nose...

it does not matter all the 240 swaps go in the same, some just require some different wiring, no matter wheather you get a 91 or 90 that will be the same swap setup

Exceptn on a 89-90 240SX you need the ps lines from a 91-94 model. Other than that exactly the same, and you can even swap the 91-94 front ednd onto an 89-90 if you had the time/money.

Also I think you're going to need a gauge cluster from a 91+ or the JDM gauge cluster

yeah on the 89-90 power steering lines are different, u can bend them to fit, but u will need a new ps resevoir. the wiring is slightly different. the gauges. ack those are a pain, its just the tach though. get the jdm cluster while its still cheap on ebay. the 89-90 are prone to a lil more rush. so becareful with some of the parts they wont come off too easy. be fure to buy lots of wd40 or a very good quality lube spray.
