90 steering wheel on 93?

Can you install a 89-90 steering wheel on a 93. I can get a brand new early wheel but it looks like it will not fit without the adapter from the earlier car. If I can get the adapter will I be able to install it or is it a lost cause? I have cruise control and the early wheel has the rings on the wheel and the later wheel plugs into the rings. Any help would be appreciated.

yes it works fine, i dont know of this "adapter" your speaking of. i have a 91 with cruise, and swapped a 89-90 wheel with cruise and it works fine. plug and play

The adapter is the piece that on the 93 swivels and plugs into the wheel, on the earlier car it is screwed into the wheel. My 93 wheel is plain jane with two openings that the swivel slides into to lock it to the wheel. I have not seen it on a 89-90 car but I was wondering if I got that piece would the four screws on the column line up and then plug into the existing connector. The connector has like eight wires because it adds the wires for the turn signal reader, or whatever that is.
