Car wouldn't start, jump did no good, had to charge the battery for a bit. Checked fuses, everything looked okay there. Replaced alternator, seemed to fix the problem. Battery didn't seem to want to charge, replaced battery. Worked great for 3 days, only problem being that the Battery Charge, Headlight, and Brake warning lights would come on under a certain RPM. Battery was drained today and could not start car. Got a charge and drove it home. Was thinking this might be a problem with the voltage regulator, but a guy at a local nissan dealership said the voltage regulator is internal to the alternator on this model.

Car is a 1990 Sentra XE 2door, manual, 140k miles just had a service done. Something possibly messed up during the service? Any help is appreciated.

sounds like you put a cheapy reman alternator on from autozone or advance. dont worry, weve all made that mistake. if not, i would still double check the alt. it sounds bad to me.
