90 Q45 sidescurt/splashgard

Have any of you guys/gals had to replace the sidescurt/splashgard body piece that runs along the bottom of the doors on the Q? Did you just order it from the dealer? How much? Is there a cool aftermarket replacment available?

Unless we're taking about a different part, I think it's just a metal painted section of the car's frame...

Actually its the piece just behind the front tire on the fenderwell with the splashguard.

Yeah that thing peels and looks Chevy-like. I havent bothered looking but I too was wondering if there's a place to find cheap replacements.

Oh... I see what you mean. If it's not damaged I think it would be easy enough to remove and repaint (or just mask it off). I've found a pretty good match in the Duplicolor paint at the parts stores for the trim on my black Q. It has a little more bronze than most of the "gunmetal" color paints I found and seems to match really well! So far I painted the licence plate holder for Q2.
