90 Q45 Injector leak

FYI,Had CEL blinking 45 (injector leak).......great Decided to pull off plenum and then injector tubes to see which one was leaking.I'll be danged none were leaking I then noticed #2 injector (3 years since replaced) was missing the plastic covering at tip of injector ! Only found a portion still attached.Installed new injector and thankfully solved problem.1990Q45'r

The code indicating "injector leak" (I believe) is just an indication of running rich. The ECU assumes that the cause is a leaky injector.

Yea Heath, I believe the broken plastic end may have disrupted the proper atomization of the fuel out the tip, allowing liquid fuel to be present in intake tube.
