Installed new brake pads, bled lines, and made suremaster cylinder was full. Brake light still stays on. I alsowired around the pad use sensors on the wheels, but thisdid not help. I do have brakes, but the peddle seems togo down further than I would like. Thanks! - Jerry

In cold weather the fluid contracts and/or micro leaks are exxagerated.

Fill your reservoir some more and see what ahppens.

Has fixed same problem in a 92Q, I had in a cold environment.

If that doesn't work, try stomping down on the pedal real hard a few times. Finally, remove the screen from the reservoir and play with the switch assembly.

Jerry,

Which light are you talking about... the "Brake Pads Worn" text message in the trip meter display, or the red Brake light that's on when the emergeny brake pedal is pressed down?

The red light has nothing to do with the pad sensors. Sounds like the system needs to be bled - spongy response is a definate sign that there is air in the system! If you're not familiar with brake bleeding, make sure you find out. You have to close the bleeder valve with the pedal down to the floor - then pump it back up, repeat - or get some Speedbleeders!
