Congradulations you have just purchased a vehicle with a potential $8-12,000 option to repair. The typical old Active Q needs about $4,000 worth of extra work compared to the Basic Q without this option.

Expert labor runs half the cost.

Keith Bowers (texasoil) is an absolute expert on the system and has worked with NICO members in Australia and NZ. You can read all his posts through Search, too.

1. Enter nothing in the search box.

2. Check Topic Titles

3. Check Recent Posts

4. Enter texasoil in the Creator box.

6. Then go back and check Post Bodies, instead - you'll get more posts

7. Then go back and check Archived Posts - yet more threads.

8. Then go back and check Topic Titles in Archived - more threads.

Good luck.

Explain--does the warning light go off without restarting the car? If so, check the oil level in the active reservoir. A number of things will trigger the warning light of course, and some just 'warn', others turn the active system OFF requiring at least restart to clear. There SHOULD be an error code set any time th warning light is on. Run the self diagnostic routine and report the number of the error code.

Low battery voltage is verbotten! It will cause a host of weird 'failures' and error messages. Do not continue to run with a bad battery if yours is weak. Autozone will test the battery and charging system on the car FREE with their portable tester (which is a very good one)
