Pulled the plenum to replace essentially everything last August and still haven't finished - but making progress. I had a bad #3 injector diagnosed by the local dealer, so I bought 4 new ones to fit under the plenum. The others are out of the car, so none of the posts I have read about cleaning injectors while the car is running will work.

I can take the injectors to Dr. Injector, a chainstore service facility, but after talking with the owner, I'm not particularly impressed. He charges $40@ with no guarantees. Is this my best option?

Thanks in advance........John:D

Uh, $40 each, or $40 for all 8? I'm thinking there's little he could do that would be better than a good old fashioned rail flush. A rail flush for $40 is a deal though.

The best is to find a service where they flow test each one and give you a written report showing cc's at 43.4 psi for each at somespecific duty cycle say 55%. Ideally you would like to match them perfectly at 2.0 milliseconds [60 mph cruise].........but don't be surprised at a 3-5% variance.

I remember someone saying that (in canada maybe) they got their injectors ultrasonically cleaned somehow. Might not be a bad idea looking into it.

Thanks, folks. The cost was on a per each basis, which is why I wondered if it was worth it versus biting the bullit for 4 more new ones. Now I know to ask about testing and the duty cycle. If I don't get a favorable response, I'll shop around.

Tried looking into ultrasound, but net readily apparant such services exist in the immediate Seattle area. Anyway, your comments helped me make up my mind........John

Try Engine Performance Injectors in Whittier, CA (562) 693-8236. They do what the Q45 tech said, and I have had them do injectors for me in the past. THey were very good and charge about $25 per injector.
