I changed my fuel pump and the car would'nt start so I put some PYROIL Engine Starter in the throttle body. The 90 starts then dies in less than a second. I got a NO.13 and NO. 34 code from the E.C.U. saying my engine coolant temperature sensor and knock sensor. What does that have to do with the car starting? Was the PYROIL a wrong move? Other than that the black nissan component above the oil filter is cracked. Is that a possible problem. I know it is but it started before the fuel pump was changed. I tried 3 different fuel pumps. Also I took off the fuel lines by the engine and no fuel came out as I put the key in the start position. I think I know what the problem is but then I don't. $$$$$$$$$$$ for a new fuel pump! I need help asap!

Then you are at junkyard mercy. You must at a minimum have a new fuel pump, new fuel filter and a new O ring. You can use a used fuel pump, but you are on borrowed time and may take out your FPCU also if you haven't already.

All this assumes no corrosion nor contamination fo the fuel lines and tank.

So I would say park it until your can repair it right or face further expense. The good news is you can read the fuel pump thread in IOM and know everything the next time.

Dealers always change both fuel pump and fuel pump control unit because they know a worn bad pump destroys [or at least weakens and stresses] the electronics in the fuel pump control unit.

An ecu controlled variable speed fuel pump is an unusal item so non Infiniti technicans will not have a clue, but if you think about it quite common like a variable speed HVAC fan [motor/controller].

However HVAC fan blows on high speed when controller fails whereas fuel pumps don't run PERIOD

The FPCM was good. It turned out to be the fuel pump. The car is still parked waiting for more repairs.

Be sure to skip the starter fluids this time.

If it won''t start, there is something else wrong and even plutonium will not help your engine.
