90 na wont start

my z was drivin kik a** till one day on the freeway dieddd. i have a new cas on it new ptu cranks over but wont start...i have spark and i have fuel so idk whats wrong can someone please help me??? the day it died onn the freeway i opened the hood and there was white smoke coming from the passenger side like by the manifold maybe but i couldnt really tell i thought it might of been my alternator but i dont think that would cause it not to start HELP ME PLZZZZ

step 1, check the ecu for codes

you siad you ahve fuel and spark, how have you verified this?
when was the timing belt done last?

i pulled spark plug out of cyl #1 and had some one crank it i saw the spark jump lol,i can smell fuel and i pulled off hose from fuel filter and it sprayed everywhere...may b that not the right way to check it idk..i just did the timing belt due to when it broke down on me thought that would be it but i still have the same problem

ok so i just pulled the codes and the only one i got was 13 wich i believe is engine coolant temp sensor..i do not have it plugged in due to the actuall connector broke on me could that not being plugged in cause the car not to start?
