Hey I tried looking all over the net and cant find a good site that makes sence with engine/trans prices. Me and my boss have a 90 Maxima sitting in the back, it runs, and we're thinking of parting it out or something, we also wanna pull the engine/trans but don't really know what these go for, anyone have ideas? We're in N - N/E Jersey if anyone's intrested.

I usually use http://www.car-part.com for pricing things like that local to me. You can usually get a few hundred out of a VG that's in good shape as there are so many out there but definitely check that site out to see what they are going for locally at salvage yards as that's where people will usually look.

If shipping weren't so bad I'd probably buy it off of you. Never bad for me to have a few VG's laying around.

It has I think like 125k on it and she runs good. I know my boss would be willing to ship (At the buyers expensive ofcourse), but we're trying to get local buyers.

I just checked out that site, I'm surprised the prices are like $800+ for such an old engine

Yeah, I think a lot of those salvage yards either think too highly of themselves are are just too lazy to want to pull the engine. Probably the latter.

FWD? LoL what are you looking for, the model # of the trans? Off-hand I have no idea, I'm on vacation, but I go back tomorrow. If you point me in the right direction to a placard or I.d tag somewhere I can help ya out.

I think he may be asking if it's an AT or MT.

The transaxle code can be found on the data tag on the passenger side of the fire wall.
