hey guys, i'm looking to get a little more out of my ol' ka and so far i've came up with this: CAI, header, full exhaust maybe a mild cam and larger injectors. any thoughts/tips/critisism. Runs very strong w/no leaks and good compression across the board. I dont plan boosting any time this year, i just want to wake it up a little and learn how to control this tiny rwd freak! tis me first import

Thats about it w/out spending a fortune .Plugs,wires,pulley. Chips can get expensive it might not be worth $$ for 5 extra hp. Start tuning the suspension coilovers, tierods underbraces LSD etc... with good tires and rims and dialed in properly these cars will out handle most anythingout there.

Honestly i have not removed AC . But w/ hotshotheader, exhaust , pulleys, iridum plugs new wires, ingen intake. I noticed a slight increase hp . Its fun for a minute .But more power is needed for real fun. Thats where $$ becomes the problem . Unless you go turbo or SR20 i dont think you will be happy because im not.

I plan on doing the same thing about with a few exceptions like pulleys, cam, valves and a few other things. What do you think the car does in the quater mile? I am hoping for low 14s. My buddy Drives a Civic and is getting ready to turbo his 1.6. I dont want to loose to him. If i have to i will add nitrous to the list just to make sure i dont lose. With rear wheel drive and a LSD i think i will kill him of the line but once he gets traction and the boost hits i know he is going to catch me. I just cant let that **** happen.

I don't think you'll be satisfied with a N/A built KA. I'm not trying to give you the whole "it will cost a lot of money" deal. I want to build a N/A SOHC. But my friend also drives a civic with a 1.6 and his is fast for a N/A car. If you want to make sure you win, spend the money on a new motor. Even the CA will put down good numbers.
