I did mine about 1 month ago. Ive never done a RWD transmission before just on a few Hondas so this was a peice of cake compared to those. This is what I did:

-Jacked up the whole car and put it on jackstands.-drain the transmission. The drain plug is right on the bottom and has a adapter style hole.-disconnected the driveshaft at the diff and then unbolted the center coupling.-slide out the driveshaft.-there should be 8 or 10 14mm bolts holding the transmission on. -once you remove those make sure you have something to support the transmission underneath, now remove the transmission mount. I think its 17mm?-pull the transmission out.

6 12mm bolts hold the pressure plate on.

I would be better if you have someone whos done other rwd cars before help you.

As far as the pressure plate bolts, does anyone know if they need to be any special type of bolt? Also, anyone know what length they need to be?

No, I didnt lose them. But the donor engine I got for my engine buildup, was originally equipped with a flexplate for an auto trans, so I never had pressure plate bolts to even lose.

They looked like normal bolts to me when I did it a couple months ago.
