I know this looks like another stupid post but I've looked through all the other idle problem posts and mine is a little different. So my car idles the same cold or hot. It will sit around 1k at idle but when I'm coming to a stop it will jump from 750 to like 1500 back and forth until I stop completely. My timing is dead on, new cap and rotor, new wires, new spark plugs and iacv. It doesn't smoke and the engine pulls amazing no power gaps at all. I've checked my maf sensor and it's fine so I know it's not the maf....so please help!

ok so i took off my intake mani to make sure all my vac lines were plugged up and come to find out all of the plugs were ripped or broken off. So i bought all new plugs and plugged all the vac lines up. It idles alot better but its still kind of rough and still fluctuates a little bit. Any other ideas??

double check the vac lines unplug your tps see if your idle changes double check your timing again mmmmm idk your cat coulded be clogged

from google"When catalytic converters fail they normally clog up with debris and block the flow of exhaust gas from getting out of the system. this causes extreme performance problems. In the extreme cases it will even prevent the car from starting at all. Most of the time it acts like a governor and limits the engine RPM to a fast idle"

does that sound like your idle?
