Yessir. The guide kit/under plenum hose kit from IOS and the estimated 11 hours of labor @ $85 an hour make up the bulk of this figure. Then the transmission mounts are a toss up. I'm debating against getting them now, or saving them for later and doing them myself when it gets warmer. I've got ramps and a large piece of cardboard.

Also in that budget is the estimated cost of one week's car rental from Enterprise. If they have a G35, I think I'll rent it.

So the $120.88 is for the pair of mounts?

there is only 1 transmission mount! Get the 2 rubber exhaust brackets that attach to the mount,as you need to remove them to get to the mount and they are always torn/shot at this age....another 40-50 bucks for the pair and no additional labor to do while doing transmission mount! Search this site for pictures showing transmission mount/exhaust brackets to get a better idea of what to expect!

Oh. Ok.

The brackets are the exhaust hangers I've heard so much about?

I'll go update my shopping cart.

I've searched the topic but I couldn't find anything on it that helped. I'll look again.

Local ambient has a lot to do with anything rubber. There seems to be lots of difference it what probably amounts to less than 10F average [North to South] and duration above 70F.

I imagine that any temperature above the the design point 194F-200F has a falling off the cliff point.

http://www.thefreelibrary.com/...27365h ... te....aspx

"For example, using a hydraulic hose at 18 F above its maximum rated temperature may cut hose life in half. If you operate at higher temperatures and also use the wrong viscosity hydraulic oil, you’ll further reduce hose life."

Lots of short summer trips per day in extreme heat can create a soak temperature exceeding 300F under plenum.

Vents and fans after shutdown or in bumper to bumper traffic or redesign the hoses AND KNOCK SENSORS AND RTV to accept these above normal temperatures...........................

I replaced all the Plenum Hoses on my 93. Except the Y hose next to the firewall.

The Q runs so unbelievably smooth. I am unable to tell if my car is on when parked.

1995 G50 at 102K.

Noticed coolant hoses that ostensibly were good from the outside were rotten and detiorated on the block side spigots. Really no hoses under the plenum were judged good enough for another 14 years. Vacuum hose from plenum to check valve on firewall replace. Vacuum hose in bulk from Joe ensured the correct fit and hopefully dong life. A lot of the secondary air bypass hoses like the two large ones that connect the large manifold to the plenum have metal inserts. Still expensive as hell.

Thermostat, KS and harness primo, but replaced and old ones set aside.

I have bypass kit and already did the radiator hoses. I plan to pull the plenum soon. What hoses do you think I still need to get? I like the bulk hose idea as they would also work on my 1990 and I assume cheaper? The engine on my 1995 is super clean both outside and inside. The car itself has about 80k miles but I think the engine was replaced by Infiniti at 10k miles. That was when the car was less than two years old and I understand they were still doing long block swaps .

One of the injectors #4 has "failed open"and I need to change it. The car still runs ok even though it tests at infinity but you can tell the power is way down and there is a check engine light. I was going to leave the hoses alone, unless I broke one but might as well replace them if they really do need it?
