After searching and seeing somewhat-related posts that were at least 1.5 years old, I thought I'd start fresh. My '91 TT has the OEM spoiler and has the rot started in a couple of places, mostly on the DS corner, with some bubbling in the middle. I do want to maintain OEM style, and I've seen a couple of replica options - Z1, Ionic. Given this is something that apparently plagues all 90-93 TT owners, I'd appreciate your recommendations for a replacement. Not looking to do it immediately, as it'll set me back a couple of bucks to procure + paint and I've got a couple of hotter items that need attention. For now, I'm just going to pull & plug the original one.

Just go with a fiberglass replica. Most Z shops sell them, and most have OEM fitment. None are really any better than any other that I've personally heard of.

Mine is gonna be due soon as well....

Personally, the Powertrix spoilers work best for both OEM-like appearance and price, they have fiberglass at about $100+/- and CF is about twice that. Good looks and top quality, famous Powertrix service.
I have a fiberglass one in grey primer I could part with.

Thanks for the info guys - definitely appreciate it!

DCaff, sent you a PM regarding your fiberglass one... unless I'm doing it wrong since it looks like it's sitting in the outbox? Perhaps someday I can get my noob status upgraded :slap:

DCaff, pinging you again on this one, as I doubt the PM went through since it's sitting in my outbox. I looked at Powertrix - their pricing (albeit what's posted online) for OEM fitment spoilers is in the apparent typical $300 range that I've seen elsewhere. Of course, I haven't managed to call them about it yet... and there's the one you mentioned that you have, which I'd be interested in.

Just means he hasn't noticed it yet. It's difficult on mobile to catch if you have a message, because it puts the sidebar at the bottom of the screen. Patience, good buddy.

Oh, it's all good - I just wasn't sure if it even went through. Plenty of patience here... wrong car to buy if I was impatient. Of course, I've still yet to get neck deep in the thing. We'll see how the winter work goes.

Hey Aaron, so sorry to have missed your PM...I got it, and a reply is on the way. Unfortunately we used to get e-mails regarding PM's, not any longer apparently as I missed two...damn.
Been having major dental issues and the last week+ is a haze, haven't checked into anything lately so I apologize again.

No worries, bro. If I got a little stalker-ish, I was just unsure if the PM went through. Good to know that it did. No apology needed - and hope things clear up for you on the dental issues. That's no fun at all.

Oh no worries at all, with the electronic world only way to be sure things went through is to ask.
I'll keep an eye out for your reply.

I just figured out how to even get to the PMs on mobile - yea, an alert would be helpful for sure. Sent you another one.
