I have a 1991 q45 and my valve covers have the plate that is removable on the outer sides of the cover. Did they ever make valve covers for the 90-93 q45 engine years where the valve covers were solid without the removable plate that needs to be sealed . Thank you for your time.

My first 90 Q45 was built very early in the production run - sometime in 1989. It didn't have that cover. The '90 I have now was made in 01/90, and has them - so I don't think there were many made without them.

Ok thank you for your reply. I just found a set of covers from a 90 q45 that didn't have that outer panel that I'm going to install in my 91 Q45. I hope they fit. Only reason why I want to replace those covers is because of that cover having a plastic interior wall that started cracking at the nipples on the inside cause those covers were really hard to remove. I just finished replacing my timing chain and guides, my valve covers weren't leaking and had a good seal on them, but I always put a new coat of rtv when everything is off. Thanks
