So i got i have been trying to come up with clean ways to instal the airride switches in the Q with out a messy switch box, or something that looks out of place. So i started tinkering. So far i have come up with 2 options for them, and i think i will have more soon. (haha i can never keep things the same for more than a few weeks, so im going to makes soo many differient options so i dont get bored!!

First is a switch panel for the center consol. It will over lay the factory spot where the CD changer controls are.And the other is inside the ash tray. Its placed low enough for the switches not to hit anything when it closes.I havent decided if im going to make it out of 18 gauge stainless or billet aluminum. Right now they are made out of the fashionable file folders. haha

And for the Ash tray panel

What do you think? Where else can i put things? Im goin to work on a gloce box one aswell, but thats kind of a far reach.Where can i put the gauges too?

ash tray looks to be the cleanest option. thats a great idea!

gauge mounting is a universal problem. some one has them in the center consol, which looks nice. but i havent found an anal-retentive perfect looking spot either!

if you do, niconauts will love you forever!... well some of us will!

I thought we'd seen an owner or 2 who had gotten a same color driver side A pillar from a 94-96 and modified it with fiberglass to fit 2 or 3 gauges.

What about installing them in the tray below a single DIN aftermarket head unit (vs the double DIN Bose head unit)?

True, Mr Turbo Q himself (qsiguy) did do a custom piller pod for his boost gauge, ect. And that is an option. But its not a very easy thing to do. Well, easy, but time comsuming. And as for the radio thing, It would work, true. But me personaly, im not a fan of single DIN RAdios in a Big Luxury car. The Q screams STYLE!!!!!, and nothing says style more than a Double DIN, Touchscreen, NAVI, DVD, TV. Altho, it would be easy to make up the panel. Ya know, i just might do that anyways, it wont take much time, and it cant hurt to have a template.

Anybody have a single DIN adapter that they can trace and fax me? or let me borrow?

One thing i found works would be this digital gauge unit.

I is a 5 sending unit system, made for air suspension. so you can measure psi at all 4 corners, plus your tank. They are 150 PSI max sending units, but there also is a 300 PSI Kit out there, i just dont have any anymore. But this little bugger is PERFECT size to fit into the Ash tray hole

and the sending units are technicaly OIL psi units, so you could use them to meassure anything wet or dry, hot or cold.

Could be usefull.

Another thing i found out is that a standard analog air gauge is the same sise as our G50 clocks...i dont like the idea at all, but i said i would post all of the options, and that is an option.

So that little bugger that was the "perfect size", and just a LITTLE to big

So i did the next best thingtook it apart!!

And i came up with THIS

Now the only issue i am having is the wireing on the back is a respectably large plug.BUT I WILL FIG IT OUT!!!!

I was looking around my place for metal to do my first proto and i found a sheet of copper. Figured "eh" what the heck, its metal. But im really liking the color combo with the all tan and the gold clock. Hmmm. i think im will buff it out and see how sexy i can make it look.

But in an order for more switchs today, and for my install wire for the pumps and beat.I cant wait!!

I found a very, VERY cheap Option, But in my opnion it doesnt look very good.THese 10 switch box's are 25$ with free shippin on ebay.and they are prewired with 8' of cable. Not the prettiest thing, but it is constructed well, with theick accrilic, and 16 AWG wire inside. It is definatle the best bang for ur buck

Got all of my rocker switches in today. And my install wiring.I got some 3/4" round rocker switchesand some 3/4 x 1/2 rocker switchesI also found these crafty little things. They are On/Off Switches that use a barrel key. Perfect for locking out your switches. Or for a stage 2/3 Nico ECU
