On 92 Q45, I'm reinstalling original rail w Deatschwerks purple injector conversion. It's been too long to remember the stackup of the bolt with two captive flat washers, black plastic spacer, rail mounting tab, loose flat washer, and other plastic spacer.

The only thing I'm guessing about is the loose flat washer, 'seems plain enough that there would be black spacer above and below the rail tab, but I cannot remember or reason where the loose flat washer would go.

My guess is, starting with the mounting surface and working up would be mounting surface, black spacer, rail tab, flat washer, black spacer, then the bolt with two captive washers.

If anyone can confirm or deny, 'twould be helpful. Thanks, Drake.

PS I'm tempted to seal rail to runner donuts, they fit rail snugly, but seem slightly loose in the runners. I can't see what a 1/16th" bead of RTV around the outside would hurt. Has anyone tried same?

I'll look tonight to see if I have some pictures of the washer stack up. The rails fit snugly on the donuts as I recall. If you haven't already, be sure to lubricate the O-rings before injector installation. I did the 1/2 turn each side while torquing up the injector caps.

Oops, I remembered after posting that I could look at 1990 parts car; stackup is as I thought: mounting surface, black spacer, rail tab, loose washer, black spacer, bolt w 2 captive washers.

Thank you for checking.
