okay thanks.

Maxnix, the first picture you posted, is that where you solder new joints to fix the cracked ones or what not?

anyone know how to fix the digital climate controls besides giving it to someone?

thanks for the help.

hmm.. that might be helpful. if they were the same.

the m30s shut off and on.. sometimes people "tap" on them to get it to work.

My first one I got so pissed i punched it.. now I got one that works fine.. but every so often it shuts off.

Very interesting. I'm gonna post these up on the m30 forums.

maxnix.. the yello highlights are what needs to be resoldered?

My god!!!! Thank you soo Much!!! I know the Q45 guys have done some extensive research.. and this helps me with My own M30 research.

m30(ignore the message, this pix was a comparison between the vert's manual vs the coupe's digital)

q45

they pretty much look the same (my pix is upside down) but the plug ins look alike !!!

Resoldering isn't a sure fix! I resoldered every joint on the board, even replaced the capicitors thinking that they may be like the Bose Amps... I eventually ended up sending it to Jerry Tucker. There is definately a bad component involved.

hmm. knowing some people are do it your selfers and want to save money, that is why I ask. I searched and havent found anything. I know when I got my m, the climate control unit was shot.. and elwesso told me bout Jerry tucker.

I havent sent it in since i picked up another one and its been good. but I wanted some more information about repairing them or atleast trouble shooting it.

a bad component huh....

I sent mine in and a year later it started doing the same thing. Sometimes fine -sometimes nothing. About half and half.

Aussie q45a... the highlights on were the ones that were bad right? very interesting.. and very kool to have blue lights haha.

sqeefoo - sorry to hear that.

I wanted to try my hand at it first. thats all. If that dont solve it, then kourse I'll send it to Jerry tucker.

I just wanna find out why they go bad and what needs to be done. I'm more of a DIY person.

thanks all for the tips... post more if there is any.

Somebody knows... I can't remember who, but someone figured it out but wouldn't tell what it was out of "professional courtesy". ...not sure ... maybe it's in Infiniti General. <shrug>

well, I can understand that its business, but you know some of us like to do things our selves. I like to share knowledge and help people out. Thats what these forums are for. At the same time, I dont want to under cut him either.. but damn, I'd like to learn this stuff on the side and for myself.
