I left my manual in Washington.

Can I bolt in a passenger seat where the driver's seat is? All the clean used seats are on the passenger side. I never use the arm rest anyway since my drink and other things are in the console tray.

My brother mounted the Recaro's he got out of an 80's Mustang GT reversed (pass/drive) in his 71 Datsun 510, and they leaned outward, as the rails/mounts are slightly taller on the outer rails.

Hope that makes sense.

I think youd have to put the passenger side seat on the drivers side bracket. The brackets are reversed, because of the hump in the middle (the inboard sides of the seats are raised up a little if sitting on level ground)...

Just put the actual seat on the drivers side brackets, besides the seat belt would be goofy..

I did it on my Mazda pick-up. Since the interior is almost exactly like the Infiniti Q45, it must work!

The latch is attached to the rails, and not the seat itself? I wish I paid more attention to these things when I reupholstered the seats on my 929.

yeah its attached to the rails!!!!! really, all the seat is made out of is foam, its just bolted on to a frame which is probably 90% of its weight.....

If you look down on the Q you can see where it bolts in with a big 16mm bolt if memory serves....

I looked at this once... thought about doing a side to side swap every 50K or something... back in the old days when I had more time. I don't think swapping the seat bottom would be a big deal. The only difference I remember is that there's a "flap" of leather on one side that's reversed depending on if it's the driver's vs. passenger's side...
