I have a 1990 300zx non turbo and my problem is that it will not start after sitting over night. I have to turn the engine over continuously for 5-10 minutes and barely pat the gas to crank it. Once it has been started for the first time it crank no problem for the rest of the day. All suggestion are greatly appreciated!
This is what I've already tested:
I've tested compression (compression was mostly around 85-90 one was 78 but i was told that was norm for 20+ year old engine)
I've tested fuel pressure (Fuel pressure was at 43 psi and held strong)
I've switched out Cam Angle Sensor
I've switched out Coolant Temp Sensor
I've switched out Power Transistor Unit (ign cont mod)

I do have two bad injectors but they were bad long before this problem. I know i need to replace them but i have a twin turbo motor i'm preparing to put in and i don't want to spend large amounts of money on this engine.

85-90 is way too low, 120 should be the lowest(or about). This will most definitely cause a cold start issue.

When you tested the compression, did you test hot or cold? Battery fully charged? All this will effect the numbers.

Have you tried starting the car with the yellow coolant temp sensor plug disconnected? The problem you describe sounds a lot like mine, I haven't had it checked out. In the meantime, in the mornings after the car sits overnight I disconnect it to start the car, then reconnect it. Or whenever I let the car sit for 7-9 hours, but anything in between it starts right up.
