90 300zx n/a, will a J30 power steering pump fit a 300zx????

I have a feeling the mounting brackets are gonna be different. I would call Nissan though and see what I could figure out.

I pulled on of those myself with the same intentons. When I got the pump out I noticed the J30 pump wasn't the same as the Z. It was much longer and i think the fittings on the lines were in different places. The different shape alone was enough to convince me at least that it was no-go. The other hint is to look on Ebay. When i looked for alternatios I noticed that some said "J30/300zx" and some that only said 300zx looked identical to J30 alternators, so I pulled one from a J30 and replaced with success. I have not seen the same when looking up PS pumps.

I called two Nissan Dealers, hoping if the Pump from a J30 would
fit my 300zx, one moody guy told me no, the other guy told me the same
thing, so what I did I went too a Salvage Yard I saw a J30 the Pump was exacltly the
same, the mounting holes were the same as the 300zx pump, and
the bracket was also the same, I confimed that this pump from a J30 will
fit a 300zx, my 300zx now has power steering with a J30 pump..
The only difference is the elbow fitting, but I swapped it out with
the 300zx fitting
