i was looking for some 5lug hubs and found an N/A 300zx with pretty much everything there. guy said engine was blown. we started to talk and he said i could get the vlsd, hubs, and shafts for 200. i said i would be back after some research. all i really want to know is what else i should take out of it: mafs, front and rear brakes, vlsd, output shafts (i understand that they don't work in a 240). any advice would be great.

What comes to mind for me would be: MAFS, Front and rear brake calipersFront and rear brake rotors (your choice)Front and rear hard brake linesFront and rear soft brake lines

Rear hub assemblies including:Drum ebrake assemblyE brake lines5 lug hub assemblySuspension arms if needed, some fit S13's

Brake master cylinderFuel pump

I dont think you need the VLSD or the half axles, but thats your choice.

ANother thing that comes to mind to grab would be the rear aluminum uprights and the rear shocks (if they're not blown)

The uprights, hubs, ebrake assembly, and half shafts come as a package deal unless you planned on taking apart that section at the junkyard. For that you would need air tools because the half axle bolt (36mm) and e brake assembly bolt (21 ish mm) are on there like mofo's gauarenteed.

indeed.

but i was under the impression that the vlsd from the 300's could be swapped into our car with some j30 axles. am i wrong? having an open dif my self i figured this would be a cheap upgrade.

I suggest buying the whole car. thats a lot of stuff to pull off. theyll prolly sell the whole thing for 500. Theres a local jkyd here and they have a z32 na with a good motor for 700 and it has a pretty good body....just a bad transmission.

i thought about that but, i have a one car garage and live in a rather strict apartment complex.....they wouldn't like a car jsut sitting and being slowly parted out.......

As far as I know, J30 axles will work.

is there any chance you could get the headlight assemblies for me? if there still there or where is the junk yard or name? I really need them.
