90 240sx Starter problem!

I have around 3 minor but really irritating problems. So my car wont start when i turn the key, but i hear it click. If i run a wire from the battery to the starter it turns over. The relay to it is good. Bad ground? I really need some help on this.

I would definitely check the grounds and I would also check the connections on the starter on itself. Check the starter solenoid as well.

where exactly did you hook up the battery to? look up the starter tutorial in my signature.

if you hooked it up to ignition wire you have a problem somewhere in the ignition line. ignition switch. interlock relay, wiring. clutch interlock switch (if you have one) . its a switch on your clutch pedal.
