90 240SX SE - Blinking Lights when opening door

I just put a new battery in my car, and now the turn signals, rear lights and dash blink for about 30 seconds every time I open the door. Does anyone know why this is happening, and more importantly how to stop it?

Sounds like you might have a aftermarket security system on your car that you may not have known was there and was reactivated when the new battery was installed.
