90 240sx misfire problem...

Just recently got a 90 240sx. KA24E. I replaced the plugs, distributor cap, rotor button, and cleaned the TPS. I can put the throttle in a couple inches and it accelerate fine, but if i go more than halfway or floor it, it goes up to almost 4,000RPM and spits and sputters. What could this be? I'm thinking I need a new TPS, but want to see what others think first.Thanks
