Hey guys, I saw the write ups on the tech pages and stuff and for the J30 LSD Swap, it says I would need new output flanges, but it didnt say off of what? Do I just yank them off of the j30 I would take the diff from or what?

Thanks

i beleive you would just use what on the j30 diff already, it should be fine.

i dont remember if the 240's have 5 bolt or 6 bolts that connect to the axels but i know that j30's come with both styles so if you want to make it easier on ur self find the j30 what has the same patter because if not then you will have to use the j30 axels also. you will have to take off your 240 cover and put it onto the j30 diff and you will also have to use the j30 bolst and shims to connect to the chassi. if you do not use the j30 shims eventualy the diff with break!!! and vibrate like crazy

so= j30 with same axel bolt pattern with j30 bolts and shims 240sx cover

make sure if you change the fluid to also put lsd additive

google or wikipedia it. j30 rear diff. it will bring up a lot of websites. I cant remember which one i went to but there are certain years that have the abs in the rear diff and require diff driveshafts so check it out. and my 240 '90 has 6 bolt pattern so make sure that the j30 matches or just use the ones on the diff.

thanks guys for all the help

see I already knew that I needed the later year lsd, but what my question is on is the flanges for the axles. If I cant find one of the 95 and newer lsd's do I have to go to nissan and buy the correct shafts or what? Thanks again

are you just getting the guts? I'm not 100% sure on whether the flanges will work or not. Why not just buy the whole rear diff with axles and eliminate the issue. I believe this site has a lot of good information and maybe what you need. http://www.ka24development.com/vlsd.html
