I have one question. I need to replace my ka24e engine harness. It's garbage now. I was wondering if its worth buying a ka24de engine harness for my ka24e and if its compatible? Fuel injector plugs, ecu, knock sensor you know, etc etc.

Hey and welcome to NICO Club!

I don't think what you are saying will work without significant modification. A lot of the plugs for sensors and components are keyed (they only mate up to a specific sensor) and the sensors change with engine redesigns (ie distributor and position sensors). Also, it sounds like you're referring to a RWD harness vs FWD which wouldn't work (I could be mis-reading). By rotating the engine 90 degrees, you end up with different lengths of wire to get to the sensors or components. Wiring Specialties is pretty good with harnesses and you might be able to get bits from them to rebuild your current harness. Or just shop around for a used one that is correct for you make, model and year.

^Not sure how you figured he'd be getting anything FWD... I'm pretty sure he's just talking about replacing it with a 91+ KADE 240 harness.
But yeah, unless you're upgrading the engine and ECU at the same time, you need to stick with the correct harness for your engine.

I get things mixed up sometimes! I just noticed the subject title was 240sx KA harness and his car in the signature is 1995 Altima... :gotme As I said, I could be mis-reading. I hope it's understandable to the OP.

Well, consider contacting Wiring Specialties. They're good. I'm using them for parts to create a harness for my '95 240sx. I got all the plugs and pins from them and need to acquire the wires and put it all together. They do not make an OEM style harness for my car, so I have to build it. It is a ton of work though and if there is a price for an assembled one for your car, I say get it. It seems pricey, but once you spend all the time verifying wire gauge, length and type, then buying it and putting it together, adding loom and testing, the cost of the finished product seems like a great deal. I believe I saw somewhere that they do in fact make one for the S13, so look into that.

Yup, I used them to replace the harness in my S13, but its for a DOHC KA. I'm not sure if they make one for the SOHC.
