So yeah I got a problem that is of course my fault but I was hoping I could get some answers. I did replaced the timing chain and I took off the front cover without dropping the oil pan. So when it came time to put the cover back I managed to damage the head gasket slightly to where I have a leak between the head and front cover. Fairly slow leak about a quart every couple weeks. I also seem to be leaking elsewhere which i'm going to search for today.

So if I drop the oil pan and slap some goo between the head and front cover and head gasket would that do the trick? Or am I totally screwed and need to replace the entire head gasket again. I'm not losing any water into the oil or vice versa so last thing i want to do is replace that.

The covers can require replacing........I think they are like $200 or more.
