1990 Nissan 240sx coupe.
There are several electrical probs but they are linked to the brake lights.
With the lights on, the tail lights or running lights are dim and the third brake light glows very dimly. When the brake is pressed the third brake light is normal and bright, the drivers side brake light and running lights go out completely and the passenger brake light comes on dimly. (but the running light goes out).
When the head lights are swithced to highbeams they both go out. When you turn the lights and car off, with your foot on the brake, the headlights will not go down until you release your foot from the brake. They operate normally otherwise. Bulbs and headlights have been replaced, wiring looks good. Any guesses? It obviously is a headlight/brake light system but which one and what should I check or replace?
Thanks for your time and any help provided.
