I just saw a 100% great looking and great conditioned 240SX dash, in a junk yard in Baltimore MD. Friday 13 July 2007

I thought 'ishkabibble' was in need of one, but I don't know how to PM him directly.

Mike, this '90 has a lot more to offer, and if you want to hear more, PM me at [email protected]

Cool!! Glad to hear that you will finally get rid of cracked dash. One thing. When you swap it, you'll have to remove small vents on the top of dash close to front windshield since small screws are there. Those plastic pieces are brittle and easy to break, so just be careful. As you know, interior parts are not cheap and you don't want to spend money on those.

Thanks to honeybus, I got a perfect dash, like-new coupe carpet, excellent coolant bottle, power window amp, driver's side striker plate, and a few odds and ends...

... all for $60

Hey, Ish (and community)

I went back the yard last Sunday to get a RIGHT side read view mirror, so I also got that steering wheel.

The steering wheel is in tip-top shape, but I cannot use it on my '94. I just did not want to have it get crushed.

What years were S-13 convetibles made?? I am thinking that the convertible community would not have use for that earlier style S-13 steering wheel??

BTW, the problem I had for the past 2 months was a O2 sensor that was giving a 'too lean' signal to the ECU which was causing my FIs to respond by pumping too much fuel. I just had to take it to the right mechanic.

Verts are '92-'94

The steering wheel should be the same, looks a little different, and not sure on the cruise connector on them (if its the same as '91-'94s)

Nope. I saw my first post and this was a 1990 240SX that gave up the steering wheel. It is definately different on the horn pad.

Confused me. The 89-90 steering wheels look a little different (all '91-'94s are same, including Verts). Its just if both have cruise (pretty sure all Verts had cruise), so if the '90 has a cruise button then the steering wheel should work, cause I would assume that the cruise would have the same connector between the column and the buttons on the horn pad.

Barry,

I'm glad you finally got your vert fixed. Sorry you had so much trouble.

Notice how the interior on the '90 was totally dismantled? It was a big pile of parts when I left. The steering wheel should work in all 89-94 240SX, but I don't think it had the cruise control buttons on it.

I'm not sure why they junked that car. I know it had a couple major mechanical issues, but the body was totally straight.

I put the dash and carpet out of that car in my vert. You can se the pics here: zer...age=2 Thanks again!
