Hello to all. I have a 90 240 sx that has the original engine and 202,000. I have been dreaming of making this the sports car it should be. I have looked at the srt20 turbo engines. The only scare I have is buying one off of ebay not knowing what you are getting for $2,800 till you get it then you are stuck. Then the problem goes to you only get 205 horses and have to add a lot of mods. Then I think about a V6 which starts out with atleast 195. Then there are 300 zx turbo engines floating around in the junk yards. Which way would be the most efficent and produce the most power? Will a V6 fit in the compartment or will the mods be outragous. Please hlp me!!!!

you can hit the search and pull up alot of the other swaps that have been done.

vq, vg, sr, rb, ls1, 2jz are all stuff that have seen action in the 40's bay.

Power goals, what the car will be used for, daily driven status, how tech savvy you are, how long you are willing to wait, how many custom parts you want to order, how many custom parts you want to make, how much you are willing to spend. All of which is information that you did not provide and will alter your choices. Make your own decision based on your answers to the above.

The main question is... are you willing to over night parts from Japan?

6 valves on a 6 cylinder? And RB20DET is better than VQ35DE?

yeah by far, the VQ35DE looks like a masterpiece of engineering.
