JE will make you a custom set of 9.5:1's for about the same price as their normal pistons. As far as i know, they do not make forged 9.5:1. No point really.. I mean you could go 9:1 and deck the head if you wanted, you could get 9.5:1 that way.

Why do you want them?

when I rebuild my engine, whenever I have the money too, it'll be a while before I actualy put the turbo on. so while driving untill then, I dont want anything to change and that is the CR I want to run, just stronger and lighter.

Changing to 9:1 compression is not going to change much of anything for a daily driver. You wont notice the slight hp loss and it will be much more boost friendly. Infact most of the 240s out there are 9:1 compression. The s14's are the only 240's with 9.5:1.

my whole idea was to keep 9.5:1 because Ive seen 30PSI run on stock internals (9.5:1) And I just wanted to squeeze as much power as possible out of it, without loosing any daily driving experiance, or the lower end, but I guess dropping to 9:1 would be better for everything, and would be that little bit cheaper, and isnt too much of a loss.

you can buy 10.5:1's and just use a thicker diamater headghasket to..that will take ya down to somewhere close to what your looking for..they would be the same price as the 9.0:1's anyways..but with a bonus..you can then use the beefy-er copper headghaskets..just an idea

Stock compression is okay depending on how much boost. I seriously would not recommend 30psi on the stock internals. The real issue is good fuel and proper tuning. Doing a bit of research and finding a trust worthy machine shop should be a top priority.

Thanks. I have a hell of a knack for finding things out the hard way, so if I can save someone a headache and a financial thrashing, with good info, it makes my lessons learned a little more pleasant.

You are refering to NissanFanatics build(S). He loves advertising his record breaking stock block Ka's, but he forgets to add important details. Hes blown 11 or so engines(in one way or another) and bent rods 4-5+ times. So sure you can run 30 psi your just going to trash your rods over, and over, and over again.
