I just replaced a blown z24i motor in my 89 hardbody 4x4 with a reman. z24i.
I did not mark the vacuum hoses prior to pulling the old motor,
and now I'm at a loss as to where they go back?
As there is no vacuum diagram sticker under the hood.
I have a Haynes book, but it speaks mostly of the ka24 and not the z24!
Further, I have found various diagrams online pertaining to the z24(carbureted),
but none that pertain to the z24i(TBI)
If I can't find a diagram, can I just plug the lines?
My motor has electronic advance on the distributor, not vacuum.
So I wouldn't need it for that, I'm assuming the rest are just, emissions control?
And I'm in a state where I don't have to worry about passing emissions,
if that is the case...
Can someone enlighten me? Or better yet someone post a pic. of their stock z24i with the air
intake off showing all the vac lines on the intake side area from above, including the ones that connect
to the little manifold thing that screws to the front portion of the air intake assembly,
and the two that connect to the bottom of the air intake itself?

No do not plug them it will cause running issues and kill gas mileage, try the local junkyards and see if you can find one that matches and take pencil and paper and draw out a hose schematic. or try the local dealer, see if the shop can make a copy from the original service manual. or try courtesyparts.com they have exploded views, maybe they have vacuum lines with pics of where they hook up.

Don't recall where I found this. However, it doesn't show the location of ports on the engine and what line on that funky manifold to use. If you look closer at it. you'll see the middle three are connected as a "T", and the outer 2 are also connected together but all 5 do not connect. I know the diag a bit small but it's all I have. I'll try and snap some pics later. Meanwhile, you could cap anywhere you feel vacuum so you don't have an intake leak.
