OK, let me give you some history on the car. I got this car in a dilapidated form for $75. The engine was in pieces and of course was not starting. I managed to get all sensors for the car with the exception of one hanging harness by the throttle body. I found the vacuum hose routings from the helpful guys here and installed new plugs, wires, MAF sensor (used), injectors (used), fuel & air filters, battery, vacuum hoses, radiator, hoses, and so forth.

I first thought the issue was the fuel, so I used a noid and found that all injectors were working. I had a friend help test fro fuel pressure and found that none was present, which I attributed to a faulty fuel pump...probably from sitting there for over 2 years. I found rust inside the tank all over the fuemp pump and connectors. The rubber boot had melted, leaving a black sticky tar-like residue all over the pump assembly. After replacing, I could now smell fuel when cranking and pressure was present, but not firing. I checked for spark and it was present by grounding. I noticed that the connector from the TPS to the distro is starting to look shorted. Anyways, i stabbed the distro a couple of times and retried starting with still no luck. I will be checking the ecu tomorrow for codes. I noticed that the ground from the battery to the manifold was not so good as I kept seeing spark, so i sanded and tightened. The other half where it touches the battery tray is halfway torn off. Most of the engine grounds on the rear of the head are missing as well.

Most electrical contacts have been cleaned with corrosion spray and scrubbed with a wire brush. The head was replaced by the previous owner and timing was set (according to him) and I have not checked it. If spark is present and fuel is present, why is it not firing?

One other thing...all four bots are not on the oil pump on the bottom. I have only one and am in the process of replacing the other 3. What is the worst that could happen even though the one is very tight. This was just noticed yesterday...

Check for codes.

Did you use a fuel pressure gauge to check for fuel pressure between the fuel filter and injector rail?

the oil pump issue is a major issue, if it were to fire up oil would spray out the sides of the pump till either there was no oil left or it started cavitating and not drawing oil up through the sump.

I will get the codes. No I do not have a fuel pressure gauge but there is fuel puddling, so i have to wait and dry start it out. I will definately bolt down the oil pump!
