89 SOHC automatic Transmission into 95 DOHC OBD1 S14 will it work? (Searched)

Hey I'm posting for a friend. Their auto trans in their 95 DOHC S14 OBD1 lost reverse and they found a trans from an 89 SOHC S13 for sale. I searched but I didn't find anything that would help. I was wondering if anybody new if it would work or not. I'm not too worried about the bell housing because I could swap that over from their old one, I'm more concerned about the plugs and electrical systems/sensors all that good stuff will work.

this is the perfect excuse to go 5spd.

I DO believe some of the plugs are different, but i'm not entirely sure. Although, I don't see a reason why they couldn't be spliced/altered if needed.
