89 silvia electrical issue. Im lost

so i just picked up dthis car a month ago few typical issues. but this just started the other day while the car is idling ( roughly) everything works. but the second i touch the gas pedal the headlights and subs shut off. would this be a voltage regulator? need this figured out asap

test your alt. should read higher then 12.7 but below 14. ive seen alts that are bearly hanging on at 11.2 volts still running the car at idle but as soon as you hit the gas it startes to bogg the radio cuts out and the lights dim. also check your ohms needs to be as close to 0 as possible if its not then you have a bad ground somewhere. check that first if you dont have a multi meter you can buy one for 10 bucks from just about anywhere that sells tools or car parts

will do. i notice the dash lights dim away until i give it gas also and i have my fans on a switch so when the rpm is at where the lights and subs are off i can switch the fan on that makes only the headlights come back on. never seen this before so Im out of ideas
