The car died while driving and now won't start. It has spark and fuel. I replaced the distributor yesterday and it still doesn't even seem to try. Turns over normally but that's it. I haven't timed it yet. Anything else i should look at?

The best tool is the FSM. It has all kinds of diagnostic procedures in there. I looked and don't see one here for an 89. The distributor is keyed and there's only one way for it to go in right? I mean, you can't jump a tooth or put it in 180 or anything right? I think you have an ignition coil thing in a black box behind your battery. That'll need power for the engine to fire. I wish I knew more. I usually turn to the instruction book. Please let us know how things proceed.
