Ok well i bought this car and it was halfway done with the auto to 5sp swap I finished everything and after trying to start up it wont. It has fuel and spark and i have checked all harness grounds. The car sounds like it wants to start. The harness for the transmission has two sensors that the connector are not connected to because there missing one side of the connector. So my question is would anything thats not hooked up on the transmission cause it not to start? Also the exhaust is not hooked up so would not enough back pressure be another possible issue for not starting? any other idea would be appreciated.

when doing this swap in a s14 you need to jump the top plug next to the fuse box (2-pin gray connector) hwever the car will start with out depressing clutch when tis is done. hopefully this is the same for a s13. are you using the auto trans ecu? all you need to wire on the trans if soe is splice the reverese switch and harness (any order will work) and the speed sensor should plu in. if not try checking on http://www.ka24development.com for more in depth help

Ya i already did the wiring with the gray connector so i can start the car. I'm not sure if the ecu is the automatic since i bought the car when it was already halfway done but i am pretty sure its a auto ecu.
