Ok so as of yesterday i have a new project, my dad promised me a 240 a year ago when i moved to NY, yesterday i told him i wanted to start with a mini truck and two hours later hes calling me, he got me a truck, goooo figure since hes hardcore into his trucks...

So as of right now i have no say as to what is going to be done to her since my father completely took over with his truck club and the parts and labor are all free, they want her ready by August for Carlisle... and even though this isnt a truck forum just wondering if yall had any ideas, i dont even know where to begin with one of these..

Here she is in all her glory

Yeah she needs a lot of work, i already decided shes going to be flat black, since im obsessed with flat black. Anyways im interested to hear if anyone has any input.

Just don't bag it please, i've had too many friends that bag S10's :tisk:

I've never owned an S10 or a "mini-truck" personally but i've had a few Rangers and a Blazer. Personally mini-trucks are not my cup of tea but i've had lots of friends that have owned them and i've helped work on them quite a bit.

I know they're very easy to swap a V8 into for starters . But i'd start with cleaning it up, getting it mechanically sound and then start with some upgrades like maybe looking for some nicer wheels for it and do a mild drop on it(3"-4" drop looks good on them). If it has the 4.3L V6 in it and it's in good running condition, i'd stick with that for a while. The 4.3 is a strong motor that will last for a long time. There's a lot of options out there for them though and i'm sure there's people that can tell you a lot more about them than I can but it looks like you have a good starting platform for a pretty sweet ride :dblthumb:

That's what she said.

I feel like hosting pictures on Gaybook and linking them in a thread is a really poor attempt to get friends added to your page.

Ahhh mini trucks...

Combining the worst aspects of both cars and trucks.
Who wouldn't love a car that drives like a truck mix with a truck that tows like a car?

The better something does its job, the more skeptical I am.
