I have an 89 Nissan pulsar with the ga16 engine. It has the throttle body fuel injection, manual transmission. Engine was rebuilt and car ran normally. A month ago car was flooded and taken to the shop. The mechanic replaced the ecm drained the old fuel "checked" the fuel filter and now the car runs.
the car still runs rough so I removed the maf and soaked it in carb cleaner overnight and replaced the vacuum hoses with new ones. This included removing and replacing the tps which I don't really know how to calibrate but I really don't think this is the problem as it still seems responsive to throttle.
The car starts good, for the first 5 or so seconds it runs normally but it will not idle. I can keep it running by fidgeting with the gas and as long at the gas pedal is in motion it seems to run well. I can actually launch the car with some success and take it near red line as long as i'm moving the gas.
Thanks for the time guys.
