89 pathfinder 3.0 4wd manuel 5 speed made on 3/89 bosch sensor 13252 has 3 wires on each side OEM has 3 at exhaust and 3 with a fourth factory spliced in wire going to a separate plug right near the 02 plug in the engine compartment. Did I buy the wrong sensor? Should I just splice in the fourth wire?It looks like some kind of resistance set up. I think there are two different sensors available 1 before and 1 after 8/89 production on this car. Any help appreciated

i dont have a manual on me for your truck but i will say that if the factory spliced the wire then you should feel safe doing it as well. is it possibly shielding for the other wires?

Thanks for the reply. I think I have the wrong sensor I ordered another today. I think it is a resistor of some kind because it splices into a fat wire in the 02 harness but when it gets closer to the sensor it becomes smaller in size. I'll let you know how I make out.
