89 manual transmission to 95 auto swap?

This question has appeared many times, but i have not found all the info i need. I have a 95 base auto 240 and am about to purchase a 89 manual 240 with bad engine but good transmission. i have read all the trans are the same but there are different senors and also bell housings might be different. i just need to know if it is possible and what all i will need and need to do to get it working properly . plus any additional info on this matter would be greatly appreciated! thanks a lot!
