Alright before you send my butt back to the search page again, ive browsed everything you have on KA24de swaps and these are the questions I have come up with as a result.

1) Couldnt find anything on actually swapping into a 89 240, lowest i found was a 90...on saying that, I have read that I need to get a 91-93 Distributor, ECU, Power steering pump and lines, throttle cable, cruise cable, MAF and wiring Harness......is this true? I have the harness etc for the 95, is there anyway that will work with the 89? Do i really need to source all the rest of this stuff out for this swap to be effective? Maybe I am confused, because I choose to do this at 2am

2) I hear that in 95, the Ka24de changed from OBD1 to OBD2.....will it make a difference in the install if I am sure on which this engine is? Whats the best way to check?

3) I guess the best question is can I follow an install into a 90 240sx, as I believe it is the same as the 89 240 sx? If so i guess im going to have to start searching for 91-93 parts....

Thanks in advance for your help, if i havent explained something correctly, just ask me to repeat wherever necessary Cheers

this forum is more dedicated to the talk of turboing the ka not swapping a DE into an E

to help you out tho

you need the harness for the same year engine you have either91-94early 95 (obdI)late 95-98 (obdII)you have the OBD answer, i assume its to block it off or add a OBDII manifold in non-obdII engine is used

what you need:engine including accessories ( this in cludes the distributor)harnessmafECUpower steering lines

Thanks for the help, with some of the questions in some of these forums, it makes me wonder where id get the best answers oppose to where it should really be placed

I am planning on turboing before this swap, so it still falls under the category!
