89 ka24e swap in an 87 HB 4x4???

i have my old 89 240sx sitting in my yard, everything is good other than the fact that the whole ":"?><" frame is rotten. anywho, i am about to acquire an 87 HB 4x4, can i put my ka24e in place of the z24i? is there that much of a difference that it would be worth the swap? and where is the best place to get a set of leaf springs for these trucks?
