What's the difference in the 89 KA as opposed to the 90-93 KA motors? I just bought an 89 off my friend and the intake pipe to the throttlebody is in need of replacement. I figured I would just buy an AEM or Injen unit but they only list 90-93. Is there a difference? Will they work on the 89 if I buy one? Any info would be appreciated.

the 89 and 90 have the same engine (ka24e, sohc).

the 91-93 use the ka24de, dohc.

buy an intake for a 90 and you'll be good to go.

Cool, that's all I needed to know. I thought all s13's had sohc KA's.
