Ok ., so I have the filter (cone filter) and the adapter to adapt the cone filter to stock air tubing for my 89 ...

the problem is it looks like the sensor screws into the side of the air intake resonator box! and I'm unsure how to adapt to the new filter (cone filter). I searched but too many results and didnt feel like searching all night so please help a brotha out.

I had to stop for the night because I did not know I was going to need nuts for the intake adapter..(wasnt thinking) That brings up another question ......Does anyone know what size those nuts are gonna be? otherwise I'll just bring one of the existing bolts up there to the auto parts store and size it.

TIA

MJ :help

I'm not sure if it is a temp sensor or not ... it is screwed on the side of the stock air box and the wires clip to the clip on the mafs..

correct me if i'm wrong but i beleive that the Air Intake Temp Sensor, if so you can either just leave it hanging or you can rig it on to the intake

yup thats the intake air temp sensor, you can just leave it hanging in the engine bay. unless you really want to try to fit it on the intake piping somewhere.

Well as long as it will not hurt anything to leave it hang i'll probably just zip tie it back and leave it sit there...

well if you think about it, you air filter is going to be sitting in the engine bay right? so if the temp sensor is also in the same area of the engine bay then it's getting about the same heat on it, therefore it'll still read correctly. but to my knowledge, that iat sensor is non-essential, so don't worry.
